Mumbai Police arrests 16 year old boy from Thane who called and threatened to kill Salman Khan

Following a threat call to the Mumbai Police control room to kill Bollywood actor Salman Khan, the caller has been apprehended. The caller, who identified himself as Roki Bhai from Rajasthan's Jodhpur, was caught with the help of technical assistance that led the police to a number based in Shahapur in the Thane district. In the latest development, a 16-year-old boy from Rajasthan has been detained by the cops regarding the incident.

The teenager, a Rajasthan resident, was arrested on Tuesday. According to PTI, the cops used technical means to track the call to the boy's number in the Thane district.

Giving an update about the same, Mumbai police stated, "The caller who called the Mumbai Police Control in the context of threatening actor Salman Khan was taken into custody. The caller who made the threat call is a minor. There is no seriousness in this call. Further investigation is underway."

Following these death threats, security has been heightened for Salman Khan. Also, additional checks were in place yesterday at Monday's Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan trailer launch event. Moreover, Salman Khan has also imported a bulletproof car worth crores and customized it with additional security features. Last month, Salman Khan received a threatening email from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's aide Goldy Brar.
